2021.1 Service Update
February 15, 2021
Release Notes
We're pleased to present our 2021.1 Service Update.
Please note that a major underlying reason for this release, in addition to the changes and issue resolutions listed below, is a rework of the foundation layers of the File Protection service that will allow us to more effectively scale our product.
Changes
In order to make your reporting experience more consistent, we've moved the team Executive report, formerly launched from the File Protection Manager Team detail page, to the Special Reports section of the Reports page in File Protection Online.
This means that you can now schedule the executive report for automatically generation and delivery.
SECURITY The Executive special report is now available to your end user Administrators as well.
To access this report:
- Go to the Team detail page for the team.
- Click the Manage Team button. This will open File Protection Online.
- Click Reports.
- Click Special. The Executive option will be selected by default.
- Click the Export button.
To schedule this report:
- Follow steps 1-4, above.
- Click Schedule Reports and select the Schedule current report option.
- Schedule the report as described in the Save and optionally schedule a report section of the Reports help topic.
We've also made some enhancements to available report recipients. Previously, File Protection Manager users could only send File Protection Online reports to the designated alert recipients for the team. With this enhancement, if you access reports using the Manage Team function, you can send the report to any user(s) on the team, as well as any File Protection Manager user. Reports accessed by any Administrators on the team can be sent to any user(s) on the team.
Both the Team detail and the Device detail pages have been streamlined to make information easier to read and to make more efficient use of available space.
