2023.2 Service Update
March 21, 2023
Release Notes
We're happy to bring you our 2023.2 Service Update.
The stability and security of our service is always central to our development efforts. All service updates contain improvements related to that goal. This release also contains small interface corrections and changes, as well as general improvements to enhance stability, performance, and the end user experience.
Features
Dashboard notifications and new indicator!
We realize that it's absolutely vital that you stay informed of customer team events and service changes that might impact their File Protection experience or yours. Until now, we've issued such notification via notification popups that appear when you log into File Protection Manager, but we know that might not be the moment you want to address those alert events.
So we're really pleased to introduce a more convenient and user-directed notification model in this release. We've replaced all notification popups with a notification section on your Dashboard, and an upcoming release will migrate email-only notifications to this model as well.
And even if you're not on the dashboard, a new notification indicator at the top of your screen gives you access to your notification list and shows the number of unread notifications you have. Just click the notification icon to view a dropdown list of your notifications:
Whether you're on the dashboard or on your notification icon list, just click a notification to open it; then you'll see context-appropriate options. For informational alerts, you can choose to be reminded again, or you can just click Got it! to dismiss the notification:
For critical alerts like security incidents, you can choose the reminder option or open the incident:
NOTE In order to optimize your Dashboard space and display only the most useful information, we've retired several less helpful widgets.
Enhancements & Changes
Interface design update
We've updated our icons, tabs, tooltips, radio buttons, toggle switches, data loading indicator, and other user interface elements in File Protection Manager to present a common look and feel with the entire Kaseya One product suite.
All functionality remains unchanged.
Fixes
Mapping a team to an existing PSA company and choosing to create a new contract resulted in association of the team with the oldest contract available for the selected PSA team. The issue has been corrected; the team is now associated with the newly-created contract.
We've corrected some issues concerning linking and unlinking accounts that were related to the Linked account change enhancement in our 2022.4 Service Update released on December 5, 2022.
We've corrected several minor alignment issues and small interface anomalies introduced by the 2023.1 Service Update in our 2023.1 Service Update in the English and non-English versions of File Protection Manager.
