Start and quit File Protection Desktop

SECURITY  All users File Protection Desktop installed

NAVIGATION  Applications / Program Files > launch Datto File Protection

NAVIGATION   Windows taskbar > > Quit

NAVIGATION  Mac menu bar > > Quit

File Protection Desktop can be shut down or relaunched at any time.

NOTE  When File Protection Desktop is not running, backup is temporarily suspended. Backups will resume when you start the agent again.

NOTE  If you just want to temporarily suspend operations, please refer to Pause or resume File Protection Desktop.

How to...

  1. Go to your desktop or laptop's Applications / Program Files folder.
  2. Locate and launch the Datto File Protection application.
  1. Click the icon in your taskbar (PC) or menu bar (Mac).
  2. Select Quit.
