QUESTION
File Protection Online displays "Outdated" next to a backed up file. What does this mean?
ANSWER The file has not yet been backed up, but it will be.
The "Outdated" tag on a file indicates that File Protection Desktop has a newer version of the file, but that has not yet been uploaded to the File Protection service. Simply wait, and File Protection Desktop will back up the file in due course.
This generally occurs on large files that frequently change (.pst files, for instance). File Protection intentionally delays backing up these files to avoid bandwidth congestion.
