Integrate with Autotask
Partners who are licensing Datto File Protection now have the option to integrate Autotask and Datto File Protection Manager. This integration makes selling cloud backup services to your customers and billing them for it virtually effortless.
- Billing details are synced from File Protection Manager to Autotask automatically, and can be approved, posted and invoiced as recurring services in the normal manner.
- You can configure your support link in File Protection Manager so client emails automatically create support tickets in Autotask. With costs and revenue both tracked in Autotask, you can calculate profitability for File Protection services.
If you are not yet a Autotask customer and would like to find out more, contact your account manager.
To get started, do the following:
- Connect your Autotask account to File Protection Manager, and transfer the services in your Datto File Protection plan to Autotask. Refer to Configure the integration in File Protection Manager.
- Set up an incoming email processing mailbox in Autotask, and configure your File Protection Manager support email address to send tickets to the mailbox. This will have your clients automatically create tickets in your Autotask. Refer to Configure automatic ticket creation for File Protection.
- Once you have completed the configuration steps, the integration supports a variety of workflows. Refer to Scenarios and workflows.
