I intend to remotely deploy File Protection Desktop updates. How do I stop the system from prompting users to upgrade File Protection Desktop for themselves?
ANSWER Clear the "Enable device upgrade notifications" policy profile option.
- In File Protection Online, go to Configuration > Policy Profiles.
SECURITY Only Administrators may access this function.
- Click either Default Backup Profile or create a new backup profile. To learn how to create a new backup profile, refer to Backup Profiles.
- Click the Backup Preferences tab. For more information, refer to Backup Preferences.
- Clear the Enable device upgrade notifications check box.
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
- If you have created a new policy, assign it to devices. Refer to the Assign a backup profile to devices section of Backup Profiles.
