We're pleased to present our 2022.2.3 Service Update, which includes the following:

ProgramData and AppData backup change

Your ProgramData and AppData folders contain a great many files that cannot be used when restoring from a File Protection backup. Backing up these files only serves to slow down the backup process and can occasionally cause issues. For this reason, these paths are now excluded from backups when a parent folder is selected for backup unless a specific path (AppData, ProgramData, or a child folder) is explicitly included in backups using the Add a path function on the Backup Preferences page.

This change will be rolled out gradually over the course of several weeks, beginning in Q4 of 2022.
